PLAYERS

Be kind
The cardinal rule: treat fellow players and the mods just as you would like to be treated. Be fair. Do not godmod, infomod, or powergame. Remember IC=/=OOC. Yosulgung is a light-hearted and inclusive slice-of-life roleplay, where players come to relax and have fun. Respect and communication goes a long way. If there is an issue players cannot resolve by themselves, the mod dropbox is always open.

Mods will do their utmost to address all players with fairness and understanding. However, anyone who breaks the rules, pressures other players, harasses, bullies or otherwise contributes to a toxic atmosphere, will be removed from the game immediately.

Age limit
Players must be at least 18 years old to apply.

Activity
All players are expected to put the play in roleplay, but there are no hard activity rules in place at this point in time. There will be monthly check-ins instead, where players comment with characters they're keeping or dropping, as well as activity rewards for players who stay engaged.

That said, we cannot allow squatting on playbys, as this could rob other players of fun opportunities. Mods will remove accounts that have been MIA for too long, so we ask that players notify us about absences.

CHARACTERS

Who can I apply?
Yosulgung is a Potterverse original characters roleplay set in South Korea. All characters must be your own and aged between 15-17, or in 5th to 7th year.

How many can I apply?
We currently have a 3 character limit in place to encourage a more diverse player base. This number might change in the future, but we ask players to be realistic as to how many characters they can keep up with. There is no shame in dropping a character you don't play and apping a stronger muse!

PBs
We will be lenient with ages for playbys, but try to adhere to a 7+/7- age difference, if possible. We allow actors, singers and signed models.

Racebending is not allowed. This also means Chinese-Koreans stay Chinese-Korean, Taiwanese stay Taiwanese, and so forth.

Yosulgung is located on Jeju Island and competes with Mahoutokoro—both long-established and prestigious wizarding schools—for the brightest witches and wizards in Asia. (With all due respect, the mods are Asian and refuse to believe Earth's largest and most populous continent only has one wizarding school.) Which is to say, the majority of students attending Yosulgung are South Korean, Chinese-Korean, Indonesian, Taiwanese, Filipino, Thai or otherwise East and Southeast Asian.

Plots
Yosulgung is primarily a slice-of-life roleplay centered around character development, with some underpinnings of mystery and spookiness. Focus will be on fun character interactions, friendships, rivalries, love and everything in between. Players are also allowed to create plots and develop the game's lore.

POSTING

Communities
Scenes (third-person threads/logs) go in the log community. Please adhere to the correct posting format stickied in the community.
Journals belong in the journal community. Parts of a journal entry can be warded to a specific person with the use of brackets, like so: [Private for Harry Potter].
Owls and Drakelingpost arrive in the player's personal letter box.
Plotting, introdutions and monthly check-ins take place in the OOC community.

Note that Yosulgung is a group private storyline, so please remember to set your entries to friends only when posting in any of the communities!

Content
We are a PG-13 roleplay. While this allows for non-graphic violence and darker themes, players must take plot suitability and character ages into consideration. Always warn appropriately when addressing sensitive topics. Common sense and courtesy are your best friends.
